Need and Wants

WALT expain the difference between a need and a want.

I know this because a need is somthing that you have to use to survive.
A want is something that you don't need to survive.

We read the story A Chair For My Mother.

The chair in this story A Chair For My Mother is a want because they already have a chair to sit on. The chair is a want because the characters in the story can survive without a chair and they won't die without it. The chair is a want because when chairs were not invented people didn’t die. The chair is a want because when their house burnt down their chairs burnt and the characters were still alive. I know the chair is a want because the characters don’t need a comfortable chair to peel potatoes, watch news and sleep on.
